"Train your mind for peace and purpose every day" is the tagline of the book that dragged me to acquire it, and thanks to my beloved buddy who talked hugely about Mr. Jay Shetty the writer. This is an extraordinary book that nourishes us to experience a more peaceful and purposeful life. A life decorated with positivity and shaped out of gratitude. The author has breathed a most contemporary life that we all own and he lived as a monk too and he uses both these experiences to gratify the learning points as a monk to our ordinary life with the present-day lifestyle and struggle.

This work is not a single switch that turns on overnight success, but it is a guiding torch to promote you daily with an insight of calmness, enhanced positivity, and love. The book is comprehensively classified into three parts- "Let Go", "Grow" & "Give".

In the "Let Go" part Mr. Jay guides us to throw away the identity puzzle, negativity, fear, and Intention.

"Grow" is the segment of the book which helps to identify our purpose, teaches us the significance of routine, and to master our mind by letting of the ego part.

"Give" the last slice reveals to us why Gratitude is the world's most powerful drug and how relationships and service heighten the value of our life.

All these sections end with a meditation practice session to blend the learning points into your life.

The words I want to share the most from this book is

“Remember, saying whatever we want, whenever we want, however we want, is not freedom. Real freedom is not feeling the need to say these things.”

The significant takeaways for me from this book were:

  • The Services, love, gratitude that we share with others is a cyclic process, don't anticipate it back from the same person, but for sure it will reach back to you.

  • The book evoked me about the basics of meditation and the privileges it offers life.

  • So many tips and inspirations to reacquire healthy habits, eliminate procrastination & ego, and to possess added clarity in your life.

The book is composed in a style that can be easily followed by beginner-level readers also. The content is very detailed but seldom beginners may take some time to understand the full essence. The book is having 328 pages and is available in amazon.
